The Basmannaya

Klimenko completed The Lounge Bar by fully renovating a building built in 1917 in the historical center of Moscow. We successfully restored the building's unique architecture while preserving its original character, allowing us to provide modern amenities that blend into the local historic area. As a result, this project was recognized with an international award for its architectural design. Grandiose rounded-top windows span all three floors to create a feeling of spaciousness and lightness. We purposely kept the original exterior to maintain the heart and soul of the building when it was built over 100 years ago.

Once inside, however, you find a modern loft-style interior that boasts rustic brick walls, high ceilings, and plenty of open space showered in natural light. The soft interior partitions can easily transform the wide-open space into cozy nooks for private parties.

The Basmannaya breathes new life into a century-old building while enhancing the surrounding urban landscape with its contemporary design.
