This project by Klimenko demonstrates our ability to increase the practicality and usability of space in the most efficient way possible. Implementing this innovative planning allows us to expand liveable areas in a comfortable and convenient location.

At the beginning of the project, Klimenko bought a large corner lot in Lemon Grove, California. Located near San Diego, this small, peaceful town boasts a "best climate on Earth" motto and offers residents the best of both worlds—a tranquil lifestyle combined with proximity to a big city. Initially, the lot contained only one house, which Klimenko divided into two lots and constructed a new building with two units on the empty lot. This increased the utility and usability of the lot threefold.

The project’s main goal was to create comfortable houses in a pleasant and convenient location. The cream-colored facades and gray roof combine to create a quiet, light, and aesthetic exterior design while numerous windows give the interior a bright, airy, and spacious feeling.

Given the high demand for housing in San Diego, these projects are particularly relevant, as they can provide affordable housing options for many. This simple yet elegant design allowed us to transform a single house into a comfortable and cozy living space for three different families.​
